  • The Moon Has Fallen!

    Ellen Shire

eBook (Ellen Shire, April 30, 2012)
The Moon Has Fallen! is my seventh published book and my first ebook. It is a childrens' picture with text and illustrations by the author, a former member of the New York City ballet. It tells the tale of kite that slips from the grip of Peter Poons; the full moon is discovered leaning against a tree in the woods by a cast of zany animals looking forward to a full moon party. How these events unfold and intersect makes for a fun filled, zany, colorful story for ages 3 to 10 years old.

  • PĆ¼ppchen

    ELLEN SHEAR

    Paperback (Blurb, March 15, 2014)
PĆ¼ppchen, the cat, loves to visit favorite places in his German town. His simple encounters at cafes, castles, butcher shops, markets and parks invite readers of all ages to enjoy their own favorite places and keep finding new ones. PĆ¼ppchen's creator, Ellen Shear, has made a career and life around her interests in the arts, education, enterprise, the natural world and family. She wrote and illustrated PĆ¼ppchen in 1973 for a creative project in a German Language teaching course. Her instructor's grade - A - and enthusiastic comments ("both my children enjoyed it and you should try to publish it") are still paper-clipped to the back of the original book. Recently, the former librarian and German teacher found the original PĆ¼ppchen book in a box in her basement and shared it with her niece, who published it to share with family and friends. So, here is PĆ¼ppchen - straight from Ellen Shear's felt tip pen and imagination. Will he turn up in any other cities or towns? Maybe yours?
